Adam Guthrie

Adam Guthrie is a qualified chef and has been vegetarian for 15 years. He completed his apprenticeship in 1992 followed by a stint in the UK working in vegetarian restaurants both in London and Devon. In 1994 he opened Adam and Eve’s Garden of Eatin’ on the South Coast of NSW which pioneered vegetarian food in the area. He then moved to Queensland and was responsible for the vegetarian menu at Elephant Rock Cafe, Currumbin Beach. He later opened, as head chef, Perfect Break Cafe (one of the most successful vegetarian cafes in Australia) for Natural Necessity Surf Shop in Gerringong. Adams cooking is influenced by his travels to India, the Caribbean, Fiji, Bali, Thailand and the UK. He loves gathering ideas, picking up tips, and creating new recipes to share with people around the world to help them live a healthier, happier and balanced life.
